The heat production of dry type transformers is based on a load loss without load.

Loss of load: can change the loss. It is proportional to the square of the current passing through it. Loss of the load refers to the loss of load at the rated current and the reference temperature. For the reference temperature, this depends on the level of heat resistance of the insulating material of the dry type transformer.
