What is a transformer?

In an alternating current circuit, a device that increases or lowers voltage is called a transformer. The transformer can convert any voltage value to the voltage that we need, with the same frequency, in order to meet the requirements of the transmission, distribution and use of energy. For example, electricity generated by a power plant has a low voltage level, and the voltage should be increased to be transmitted to the remote electricity consumption zone. The area of electricity consumption should be reduced to a suitable voltage level by reducing voltage for power supply and daily electrical equipment.

How does the transformer change the voltage?

Transformers are made on the basis of electromagnetic induction. It consists of an iron core laid by silicon steel sheets (or sheets of silicon steel), and two sets of coils wound around an iron core. The iron core and coils are isolated from each other and do not have an electrical connection, as shown in the figure. We call the coil connecting the transformer with the side of the power source, the primary coil (or the primary side), and the coil connecting the transformer with electrical equipment is a second coil (or secondary side). When the primary coil of the transformer is connected to a power current power supply, the variable magnetic field line will be generated in the iron core. Due to the fact that the secondary coil is wound around the same iron core, the magnetic power line cuts the secondary coil, which inevitably creates an induced electricity on the secondary coil, causing the appearance of stress at both ends of the coil. Since the magnetic field lines are changed, the voltage of the secondary coil is also variable. And the frequency is exactly the same as the power frequency.

The manager proved that the ratio of the voltages between the primary and secondary windings of the transformer is associated with the ratio of the turns between the primary and secondary windings, which can be expressed as follows: the voltage of the primary coil/voltage of the secondary coil = the number of turns in the primary coil/number of turns in the secondary coil, indicates that the more revolutions, the higher the voltage. Thus, it can be seen that the secondary coil is less than the primary coil, which is a reducing transformer. On the contrary, this is an increase in the transformer.

What are the types of transformer designs?

There are single -phase and three -phase transformers depending on the number of phases. It is divided into a power transformer, a special power transformer, a voltage transformer, a measuring transformer (voltage transformer, current transformer), a small power transformer (used for low -power equipment) and a safe transformer depending on the target. It is divided into the type of nucleus and the type of shell according to the structure. The coil has a double winding and multi -winding, and the vehicle can be divided into type with oil immersion and type with air cooling in accordance with the cooling mode.

What are the components of the transformer?

The components of the transformer mainly consist of iron cores and coils, as well as oil tanks, conservatives, insulating sleeves and threaded heads. 5. What is the benefits of transformer oil?

The function of transformer oil: (1) isolation effect. (2) The effect of heat dispersion. (3) elimination of the effect of the arc.
