Product Description
The American Style Pad-Mounted Substation is a fully integrated, outdoor power distribution system designed for urban grids, commercial complexes, and industrial parks. Combining a pad-mounted transformer with high-voltage (HV) switches, low-voltage (LV) distribution units, and advanced protection systems, it delivers efficient underground cable power distribution in a compact, maintenance-optimized design.

Features
- Fully insulated and enclosed structure
High-voltage components are completely sealed to avoid exposed live parts, significantly improving safety. - Compact layout
The volume is reduced by 1/3 compared to the European style, suitable for space-constrained areas such as street green belts. - Low maintenance design
Maintenance-free components (such as fully sealed transformers) are used, combined with remote monitoring systems (temperature, load, etc.) to reduce the frequency of operation and maintenance. - Environmental protection and safety
Optional biodegradable oil or dry-type transformers are equipped with pressure relief valves and fault indicators to ensure timely emergency treatment.
Structure
Transformer: usually oil-immersed or dry type, with a capacity range of 500kVA to 2500kVA, high-voltage side voltage 15kV/25kV, low-voltage side 400V/480V.
High-voltage unit: adopts a fully insulated design, such as SF6 gas or epoxy resin casting, integrated load switch, fuse, support ring network or terminal power supply.
Low-voltage unit: contains circuit breakers, metering instruments and automatic compensation devices, modular design for easy expansion.
Box: Made of corrosion-resistant steel plate or non-metallic materials, with anti-theft locks, ventilation and heat dissipation holes and moisture-proof design, suitable for -30℃ to 40℃ environment.
Application
Urban distribution network: underground cable access to reduce visual pollution from overhead lines.
Commercial complex: high reliability power supply, support for smart meters and data communication interfaces.
Industrial area: withstand harsh environments, dust and water resistance level above IP34.
Renewable energy: compatible with photovoltaic/wind power grid connection, as a distributed energy node.
