The box-type substation (also called prefabricated substation) is an integrated and modular distribution equipment, which combines high-voltage switchgear, transformers, low-voltage distribution devices, etc. in a closed or semi-closed box. It is widely used in power distribution and voltage conversion in power systems.

Structure
Box-type substations are usually divided into three parts, with a modular design:

Equipped with high-voltage switchgear (such as load switches, fuses, lightning arresters, etc.), responsible for receiving 10kV or 35kV high-voltage power supply.
Common line entry methods: ring network type (such as HXGN cabinet) or terminal type.

The core part, with built-in oil-immersed or dry-type transformers (usually with a capacity of 50kVA~2500kVA), realizes the conversion from high voltage to low voltage (such as 10kV/0.4kV).
Equipped with temperature control, heat dissipation system (such as fans, shutters) and explosion-proof pressure relief devices.

Low-voltage distribution cabinet (such as GGD, GCK cabinet), including circuit breakers, metering instruments, capacitor compensation devices, etc., distributes 400V power to the user end.
The shell material can be stainless steel, aluminum alloy or non-metallic environmentally friendly materials, with a protection level of IP23-IP54.
